El Camino, Compton, Cypress College Spring 2020 nursing application process

Hi everyone. I applied to El Camino College, Compton College and Cypress College. I was hoping we could help each other out in sharing information. This is my first time applying to any nursing program. All I know for now is that ECC is supposed to send an email to potential candidates to take TEAS on or around Oct 21. What I don’t understand is if we will get the invite around that time or if we will be TESTING around that time. It can be read either way. At compton, the lady at the front desk said they’d be behind one week for testing due to her being gone due to a death in the family. So she said that if I got an invite to take the TEAS elsewhere, to do it and then contact her so that she can tell me where to send it. All I remember from Cypress is that we should get an email by Dec 12 or so and to call the school if we don’t. But I don’t remember what they said as far as the TEAS. I guess I’m wondering if denial letters also get sent when invites for TEAS get sent. Anyway, I’d appreciate any feedback from anyone. Thanks!

The teacher sent a email saying we can’t make copies of the lab book, they have to be teared out.

Why? Did someone ask the teachers if we can use the older version?

I didn’t ask about using older version , she just posted we can’t make copies. I’m sure it’s only the 8th since they love to be strict about things .

I was just literally thinking to make copies of the lab book because it’s a lot cheaper than buying.

Do we need to have the books on the first day of class?

I’m sure we don’t since she sent the syllabus late, Mine gets here on Monday night .

Did everyone receive their uniform ? My friend won’t get hers till Monday . I wonder how strict the teacher will be.

Does anyone know where I can get the lab manual that can ship fast? I ordered at elvove website today. I just dont know when will it arrive. They have 10$ off if you order at their website. Also, I bought a PDF for the lecture. If anyone wants it let me know! :)

@ Seu_ema: thanks girl for the offer on the pdfs. They were so cheap that I just bought them.

I haven’t received my uniform. I emailed them and was told they’d be shipping mine out the week of Jan 6! So I have no idea when I’ll be getting it.

I’m assuming we’ll be able to buy the lab book at skl? They have to offer the books they’re requiring us to use. I was trying to check the online book store to see the price but I couldn’t get through.

They should have them at the book store but for an expensive price. If it ships on the 6th you should get it 1-2 days after.
