El Camino College Nursing Fall 2017

Hi all,

I have applied for fall 2017 program at El Camino College. I actually applied for Spring 2017, I was selected as an alternate and did not make it. Hopefully, I can get in this time. Anyone else have applied? It would be great if we could share some information and feelings while we are waiting for the result!

I must agree.... I'm secretly hoping that they're thinking of a way to take in a larger number of applicants this semester....because I can't begin to understand what's taking so long.

So, you sent your TEAS score to the office, right? I also took the TEAS already when I applied for spring 2017 and the nursing director have an access to my score since I took the test at El Camino. Maybe that is why we did not receive the TEAS invitation....I am not sure why we did not receive anything. I am now worried. :( Friend of my who got the invitation was her first time applying and never took TEAS before. She told me she received the e-mail on March 31, which we are supposed to get our 1st contingency letter.

Well I took my few days after my application so I stated that I did not take the teas. However I sent my transcript a few days after the first letter. My friend has never take. The teas and she haven't gotten any email to take the teas.

Can u please confirm with ur friend that she did in fact take the teas at el. Camino? Also what campus? That may make the difference. My friend and I are both applying to Torrance.

She said she already took the TEAS at Elco. She is also applied for Torrance campus...Now,I really don't like the way they are processing. I think they should had sent us the letter something tell us that we still have a chance or not.

Yes I agree.smh.... I guess we have no choice but to wait and see.....they're maybe sending tease to student with excellent grades first? Just wondering.

Yeah, maybe. Maybe they were sending out the invitation to the people who got the higher points. Well, I guess we need to wait till they say something.... :( Good luck and hope you also hear good news from other 2 schools!

Yeah we have no choice but to wait.... I pray that God allows me to get in somewhere. It has been a long process getting through the pre reqs and this is the next hurdle.... God luck to u too. We' love be in touch.

You know what.... the letter is providing the two dates that teas invites will be sent out. March 31st and April 28th. The wording used is confusing thus all this confusion. We are thinking that April 28th is when we should know whether or not we got in. When did you apply? Was it close to the deadline? It may be that the ones who applied earlier are first for teas invites.

I applied the first week of the application period and so did my friend. Do you think that the second contingency letter could be also the TEAS invitation who was not invited first? So, we could receive the TEAS invitation this up coming Friday?

This is what I'm thinking, we're going to have to wait and see. If we were out of the running, I think they would've informed us.
