I just finished AP II (8 week course) with Dr. Kimmel. It was great, and I made an A. It was a lot of hard work, but it was worth not having to go to a class room. I recommend it to anyone who is go to nursing school. I took AP I through a community college, and I didn't learn near as much as I did with the edukan course. I start nursing school Wednesday and am so excitied.
Just thought I would share for those who are up in the air about taking on line courses. It is doable and well worth it.

I just finished AP1 through Edukan with Dr. Simmons and the class was horrible. The work itself wasn't hard, but the tests weren't based on anything we did in homework or what you thought would be on the test. Everytime I took the test I was sure I'd aced it and came up with a D or C most of the time. Were Kimmel's tests like that or did they actually make sense? And since we don't get to see our tests I have no idea what I missed. Unfortunately I'm taking AP2 in session 3 this summer and he's the only teacher.
That is horrible. My class was not like that at all. I got to see the test every time. And if I didn't understand why I missed one Dr. Kimmel would talk to me about it. And, if I could show with support from the text book why I answered the way I did he would give me the point. He had outlines for each Chapter, and if you study off the outline you could ace the test. Don't get me wrong I hand to study my butt off, but I had a very supportive teacher.
If you are going to take AP II with edukan go with Timothy Kimmel.
He's not offerred for the summer, but now I am thinking about switching to Lee who is teaching session 1. His grading scale seems much more fair. In Simmon's class, 62% of your grade is based on tests! Lee also has practical quizes on the lab stuff, which seems helpful, but he said he will only have those if the technology is working by them.
