Edison College

Hey there, anyone here go to Edison in Ft. Myers or graduated from there nursing program? I am looking to apply for Fall 09! Thanks, Michelle

Congratulations! :yeah: I'm a mother of two.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a little one (or two!) to care for while going to school! I'm not sure of any dates for orientation, etc., but I will certainly post when I hear something. I'm trying to enjoy these last few months of minimal stress before it begins... couldn't be happier about my acceptance, though!

I only have one still at home. There is a 19 year age difference between the two. Gasp!!! I know!! I was looking at schedules on the Edison website and it looks like our classes are going to be on Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 9:20PM starting August 24.

I have two also. One is 5 and starts kindergarten and the other one is 8 weeks old. I know, it's going to be rough! Oh, I think I will have a little trouble with the Monday class. Sometimes I have to stay late on Mondays at work. Oh well!!!

For some reason I was under the impression that we weren't starting until October...?

Lexmom; I haven't received anything official yet. I was just looking on the Edison website. Hopefully I didn't give incorrect information. If so, I apologize. I'll just wait until I get official paperwork from the nursing department. Hope I didn't worry any one.

Mandy's Mom; Wow!! An 8 week old! You are Wonder Woman!!! I have a lot of respect for you!! You Can Do It. And as far as the work schedule, it will all work out. You'll find a way around it. Let's just wait for the official schedule. Sorry to worry you. I could be wrong.

Thanks, Eddysmom. I could be completely wrong, I've just had October in my head for some reason!

Mandy's Mom - I thought it would be challenging with a two year old! I will never complain to you, haha!! Determination is all it takes. You've made it into the program, so there's no reason you can't do it!

I've been reading your posts the last few days, and started getting nervous because I hadn't heard anything yet. Just found out today that I got in! Yippee! Congratulations to the rest of you who were accepted. :yeah:

I kept hearing and reading that people were getting notice via a phone call. I didn't get a call, but did receive an acceptance letter in the mail. Just to let anyone else who is eagerly awaiting an answer know.

Congratulations!!! Which program (day/evening), and campus did you get accepted to?

Thanks!! The Lee day program. It sounds like you and the others who have been posting are in the evening program?

Congratulations! I am in the evening program. Does anybody know how many spots are there? I heard there was 24 for day and 24 for night. Is that all??
