Understand how big team work is in the ER! Be prepared to answer questions on prioritizing pt care dealing with the verbally abusive people and how you would de-escalate a situation, how do you deal with psych patients, communication with physicians, etc.[/quote']I've got my interview on Monday so hopefully I can use these tips to ace my interview just like the OP!
I've worked as a tech in the ED and have a simplistic idea of prioritization and deescalation techniques, hopefully they understand that as a GN I won't know it all but am willing to learn quick! :)

Hi all,
I did a quick search and found some very general interview advice, but I'm specifically looking for any tips/tricks when it comes to ED nurse position interviews... I'm sure it's pretty self explanatory ("I learn quickly, I'm very bright, I work well with multiple personalities, I ask a lot of questions, etc.") but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything... anything ED ADNs and nursing recruiters specifically look for that I might be overlooking? Any questions I should specifically ask?
Many thanks in advance!
