ECPI University ABSN Orlando Summer 2016 (Formally Remington College)

Published

Hello!

I was unable to locate a thread for the upcoming Summer 2016 cycle...Anyone out there applying and/or considering to apply for Summer 2016?

Hey guys. I am going to graduate with my bachelors in december and looking to start nursing school at ECPI in lake mary in January 2017 start. I was wondering what stats your class got in with? I do not have a high overall GPA even though it is higher than a 2.5 but I do have a decent Science GPA which is a 3.6 and plan on taking my teas exam soon (I want to score high 80s into 90s). What do you think made you stick out when you got accepted? I am afraid my overall will turn me down.

Hi! Did you end up getting in? Was your overall a 3.0 and your science a 3.0? I am looking to apply for the January 2017 class.

I am a little concerned about applying to this program. I want to do the ABSN option, but worried I will have a hard time getting a job with a degree from this school. Has anyone heard any issues of getting a job?

is this school accredited both regionally and nationally?

For those that are in the program currently or know the program what is the campus like?

How did you apply?

Okay, so I'm going to give an honest review on ECPI as a minority student. Basically, if you are a minority be prepared to have it tougher than other students do. The white teachers will not cut you the same slack they do with white students... be on time with papers and assignments. Had I known this fact about ECPI, I would have never wasted 11,000 bucks for the first semester. Lind and Stevenson are 2 old white nurse and they show a clear bias towards students of different races. It took me a while to realize that but sadly, it's the truth. If you are borderline and you're not white, they will savage you. Guys, as upsetting as this is, I just want to warn students that there is a clear division between white instructors and colored instructors, a clear division between black students and white students, and a clear difference with how how students of different races are treated. If you're a minority and you're going to get A's and B's on everything, then you're good because they can't mess with you. If you're white and struggling, they will help you silently but it's you're black, you'll be the one they'll profit from. I hope you get the gist of what I'm trying to say. Not to mention, this school has a HUGE issue with cheating as well. There are rumors that white students have resources and perhaps even exam questions that minority students don't have access to... you will sense that FAST if you decide to attend this school. Many black students said they heard that ECPI is a racist school, but they had no idea it would be as bad as it is. Based on my experience there, I feel invaded and disgusted because these people will look you in the face at your lowest point and have the coldest most in-compassionate look on their faces. They have no mercy.... just keep paying is what they are hoping for. If you decide to attend this school be ware of Stevenson. She is a cold and heartless woman. She fails at least one minority per quarter with the hope that they'll return to retake and pay for the class again... more money for the school. Even if you pass her exams, she can still fail you! Scary! Be ware guys if you decide to attend this school... do your homework.

Hi, can you please tell us how the program was? And any recommendation

did you complete the program? was this your perception throughout all 4 quarters
