I will be starting the LPN program at ECPI in 2 weeks. I will let you know how it goes, I can say this...there were a lot of hoops to jump to get accepted. I am excited though.

I'm currently working to get accepted into Greenville Tech's nursing program. If I don't get into the program there I've considered applying to ECPI. What type of issues did you face while trying to get accepted into the program?
I would not exactly call them "issues" pretty much the same things as most other schools. It is very competetive. 1st you take the compass test to see if you are smart enough to be in college. If you are in Greenville Tech now you will have no problems with this. Then you will be required to take a nursing school entrance exam, if you do not do well on this you will have to wait 1 year to retest. Once you have passed the tests then you will have to speak with the finacial aid office if you plan to use aid for payment. Next you will have to submit 3 letters of reference, then you will need pass the background check. Next is an essay that you will have to write and submit answering various questions given to you by the school. Then you will have a panel interview with the Director of Nursing and Dean of the school. After all that is done they will contact you about a week later to let you know if you're in or not. I think they only accept only 20 students per term, but not sure about the exact number.
thanks frenijo that was helpful information. keep us posted on the program once you get started. good luck!!!
