Hello Fellow EC Mates....I am so embarassed but it's time to come clean.
Well my first attempt didn't go well. Made a D, now trying to regroup and develop some strategies.
What should be my next move?
Questions
1) Do I retake H&S or do I complete core work first before any nursing courses. I finally completed my online EC intro course and they recommend completing core work first.
Need
A&P
Micro
Information Lit.
Nursing support course - not sure what this is? - ??
2) I honestly I didn't stick to a real study schedule, reviewed only one of my practice exams, lost my money on the other one....breezed over my outline, text books and study guide and relayed too heavily on current knowledge as an LPN (12 years).
I really started on the wrong foot. Feeling bad about it but...I got what I basically put into...Not enough at all. Okay, I am ready to move forward and this time not play around with this, I took my testing too lightly.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone been here or is it just me
Take care, Thanks,
Bette

Bette, people greatly underestimate the Health Safety exam. If you ever download the EC Exam Technical Guide, it contains a lot of exam information and statistics about pass rates, and that exam is one of the most often failed out of all the nursing exams. It might be because people do underestimate it!
I would actually suggest doing the Transitions exam, then going back to Health Safety. Or you can ask EC to allow you to retake Health Safety a little sooner than the required wait time. Either way, you know what the exams are like now. Good luck!

Sounds like you already know what is needed. Hang in there you can do this. Plus thanks for posting as it serves as a warning for all of us just starting out to not underestimate any tests difficulties.
