I'm looking into several distance learning programs across the country to get my BSN. Does anybody have any input on which program they selected and why?

Oh, goody! Another opportunity for me to post my spreadsheet. These are the programs I investigated. And before anyone gets all up in my grill about them being pricey, I'll also suggest that you check out your state universities to see if they offer distance learning RN-BSN. There are a couple on my spreadsheet that are schools in my state (Virginia).
I'm doing my RN-BSN through Chamberlain, and I chose them for a few reasons. My advisor, Tiffany, rocked my socks. She advocated for me and got me the max amount of credits for my 206 college hours. If you'd like her contact info, let me know. Chamberlain also took care of obtaining my transcripts from the 3 colleges I've attended, as well as my CLEP transcripts, at no cost to me. I'm on my third class with them, and I'm really enjoying it. Their general ed classes are done through DeVry University online, but all the nursing classes are through Chamberlain online.
Chamberlain also accepted my EC sciences -- bonus. :)

Oh, and I did NOT choose EC for my RN-BSN because they made me mad. EC did an "unofficial" evaluation of my 206 college credits (I'm not kidding, I really have that many), and they still wanted me to take 10 gen ed credits. They also didn't give me credit for the stats class that I took way back in the day (1991), so I called them and asked about that. They said hey, scan in your syllabus (yes, I still have it) and send it in -- we'll take a look at it. Great! So then I get a message that said sorry, while the syllabus looks promising, they can't officially evaluate that syllabus for credit until I enroll. So I started to look around at other programs, and found several that are comparable in price, don't charge a ginormous enrollment fee ($895), and don't charge a student services annual fee ($440). I wrote EC back and told them that as a recent grad, I was disappointed in their response and that I'd be going elsewhere to further my education.
With that being said, I've only heard good things about their RN-BSN, and one of my team leaders at work is doing it, and loves it -- she left University of Phoenix's program and switched to EC after she saw how much I enjoyed the ADN (post-CPNE, of course ... LOL).
P.S. Welcome to Allnurses!

Hi!
I am doing my post-ADN work via Excelsior for largely the same reasons that Lunah isn't - everyone else wanted gen eds and I have a couple of hundred credits as well. EC is making me take a 200 level English. That's it.
