EC CPNE workshop

Published

I would like some opinions from those of you that have done the EC CPNE. I am an LPN-C (IV certified), I work in a small town Hospital where I get a WIDE range of skill use (ER, PO, recovery, even help with ICU and such at times). I have worked as night charge at a NH as well and am now working home health(always worked two jobs) I have been out of LPN school for about 2 years now so that is still fresh and up to date. While I have been working 72-80+ hours on night shift a week I finished up all of my exams at Excelsior but the CPNE. While I am waiting for a test date I have been searching, and studying here and other places on the web about this. It seems ALOT of people are taking the CPNE workshops both private and EC'S. Is this really needed? Is it for those that are Paramedics, or LPN's that have been out for a long time and work LTC? Do I need this? I don't want to get to amirillo and bomb this, and can't afford it either--1600.00 freaking bucks for the CPNE now AHHHHHHHHHHH. I may just be getting paranoid but this wait for a date is KILLING ME.

Thanks

Tom
