I hope I am putting this in the correct category! I am in nursing school and I am required to do a paper on an evidence based practice. I am having a hard time coming up with a topic, because every topic that I think of seems to not have many scholarly articles written of it (or many that I am able to access through my university's subscriptions.) It needs to be related to basically anything adult-health/med-surg wise, and I seem to be leaning more toward the patient safety/prevention side of it.
The topics that I have researched but are unable to use due to the lack of sources are:
1. The prevention of aspiration in patients with dysphagia using thickened liquids
2. Elevating the head of the bed during enteral tube feeds to prevent aspiration
3. Using oral care as a method of reducing ventilator associated pneumonia
I was hoping to receive some more ideas on topics that I could research, since I am not having any luck with this. Any and all feedback is appreciated as I feel like I'm hitting a wall.

If you're not finding anything on the oral care one- I suggest you have a librarian help you with your search terms and such. There is a TON of stuff on that topic.
You might also look at falls, CLABSI and CAUTI - also lots out there.

All of those issues have plenty of coverage in CINAHL - get some help with your lit search.
