Hi everyone! I just want to ask if you have any idea if EAMC is accepting applicants for staff nurse position as of now? or if they are accepting volunteer nurses?.. & if so, how do they do their recruitment? do you have to submit your documents on a drop box?
I would greatly appreciate all your replies. Thank you in advance. :thankya:
Godbless!
Thanks for the info. Let us pray that we can be part of the RN Heals program. Thanks again! :)
I think the exam you had is for the 2012 Manpooling. I had the same exam way back 2010. And it was only until this week that I had received a phone call from EAMC regading RN HEALS. After passing the exam, you will have to face n interview with Nursing Supervisors and lastly with the Chief Nurse. I passed their exam and interviews in 2010 and we had 2 weeks OJT/Evaluation. After that they'll ask you to wait for a call. :)

That was ages ago hahaha, I passed around May 2010. Good luck with the results and with the interview. Just prepare well for the interview if you are having one with the Supervisors because they can really scare or surprise you with their questions. :)

Yes. :) Okay. I will prepare for that interview. But first, I must pass the exam. (crossed fingers). Btw, can you share your experience during the interview and can you give us some hints on what questions to be asked. Hihi. (but it is okay also if you don't answer that. I understand.) Thanks! :)

It's a pleasure, the reason why I am ranting in this forum is because I wanted to help out others. I know how it feels to be really frustrated on landing a job or a training in the hospitals and this forum has somehow provided me information regarding job hiring and training. But of course some are really not in to sharing information. :)
Anyway, when I had mine last 2010 it was more of "in a showing off way", any interviewer would like to hear how knowledgeable and skillful you are. You dont necessarily have to speak fluent english. Speak in a language you are comfortably, but it will always be a plus if you speak in English. Anyway, tell them what you had experience from other hospitals/institutions. Tell them how familiar you are with the nursing procedures. Some would even want you to explain it in full details. But remember to maintain calmness, you can feel really anxious at first since you are actually talking to a senior supervisor nurse who knows a lot in our field. As I can remember, I was asked about my experiences from being a volunteer. Always remember the 12 golden rules of administering medication, I was asked about that. When I told her about the nursing procedures that I have done, she asked me to explain the procedure step by step. My friend on the other hand was ask about what nursing diagnosis you can give to an asthmatic child when doing NCP. Another interviewee was surprisingly asked about Tepid Sponge bath procedure in full details including the materials needed. She will score you according to their standard grading plus written feedbacks that will eventually be forwarded to either the chief nurse or asst. chief nurse for the 2nd interview. The interview is less stressful than the first, Maam **** (Chief Nurse) is really kind you can comfortably talk to her whatever thoughts you have about nursing.

Awww. Thank you so much @Summerstarsky. It is really good that there is a forum like these where we, nurses, can talk about job opportunities and anything about our field. Thank you for the information. It is really helpful for us, especially to me, since I don't have any hospital experience yet because I am a batch 2011 graduate and I just passed my NLE last July. That is why I am really looking forward to be included in the RN heals program. Thank you thank you! God Bless and Good luck on your duty! :)
