Duke ABSN Fall 2017

Hi guys! I haven't seen a thread yet for Duke's ABSN Fall 2017 yet, so just thought I'd get it started! I'm excited to be attending the open house later in September and look forward to meeting some of you there.

Does anyone know if there is a Facebook group yet for admitted students?

There is! You just have to associate your Duke email account with your FB profile so you can get approved to join the group. The link to it and your email is in the email that Nora sends out once you've paid your deposit. I actually deleted my Facebook account a few months ago so I have not yet decided if I need to temporarily open up another account for access. It's been kind of nice not having FB after all these years… Lol :)

Where can I find my duke email address? I just checked in the email that Nora sent after I paid my deposit and it isn't in there.

You're right! I looked back at my emails, and I think I must've found my actual Duke email when I activated my new ID and logged into the DukeHub student section. You should see it under the profile section. Sorry about that, I hope this helps!

I haven't decided yet but I'm leaning heavily towards the local community college here instead, due to the financial strain. Hi all-I just declined my offer along with the $10k scholarship they offered. Hoping this opens up a spot for one of you on the WL. I plan to attend the local community college here in Durham next fall. Good luck to all of you on your journey!

I was also accepted from the waitlist on May 5th. From what I remember, Nora said that folks could be taken off of the waitlist up until a few weeks before the program begins.
