Drying up Breastmilk

I was wondering what other hospitals do to dry their patients breastmilk up when they decide not to breastfeed. I am doing a paper for school on the different ways to dry up breastmilk.

I had to ask the doctor why cabbage. He said the purple leaves will pull out the milk faster than it would allow the breast to make it, finally just leaving the breast dry.

I'd be afraid I'd have purple breast?
