Hey everyone, I'm in my third quarter and I'll be starting my hospital clinicals next week! I was wondering what the top 10-20 drugs I should make sure I'm the most familiar with prior to the clinical. Thank you in advance!

One of the best things you can do is pay attention to the most frequent drugs that you see on your clinical floor and study up on them. Some of the most common meds you might want to brush up on would be Lasix, Insulin, Metoprolol, Lovenox, Coumadin, etc...meds like that.
Good Luck.

I have this app on my phone called "nursing essentials". It has a list of the most common meds and lots of other very useful information.
Thanks RN403! Yeah I was planning on paying close attention to the drugs that I come across but I wanted to see what to focus on prior to my first clinical. Thanks for the heads-up.
I'll check out that app MurseH, thanks!

What floor will you be on? That might change some responses.
