Drug Testing @ Grossmont ROP

Hey everyone :)

I am applying to the LVN program that Grossmont's ROP school offers and I'm a little concerned with the drug test. I am concerned on wither there is a hair test or not. I know I will test clean for a urine test due to the fact that I gave up smoking mary jane over a year and a half ago (when I decided to go back to school and start nursing), but I DID smoke 2 years ago and someone told me that the hair test can go back as far as 3 years?!

Did anyone take the grossmont drug test? Was it just urine or was it also a hair test? I would hate to think I've totally cleaned up and I'm going to be crucified for something I did 2-3 years ago...

I'm not 100% sure but I thought that for marijuana, that it could only be detected 3 months back. I seriously doubt that it can be detected 2 or 3 yrs back.

Worst case scenario you'll have to cut your hair to two years ago length.

All they need is a couple of inches of hair, and they have to get it from closest to the scalp as possible because that is the youngest (LOL, how do I word it?) portion of your hair that they need. Also, it usually can go back to 6 months, but that's the longest I've heard of it going. I've taken the drug test via hair and urine and of course passed them both because I don't use drugs.

If you're worried about the drug test then all you have to do is to drink cranberry juice like crazy. My friend had done marijuana about 3 days before and drank cranberry juice for like 3 days straight, and she took a drug test just to see if she would pass and she did. Don't dilute yourself in water because your water will be too clear and eyebrows will be raised as to why it's so clear and they will either not accept those results or they will make you retest right then and there.
