Hi, if somebody was caught diverting narcotics, employer only reported them to IPN, but RN decided to surrender license and that was the end of it… BUT joint commission came to assess facility and discovered discrepancies and employer had to make a “report” of it, what would that entail?

I believe (but not certain) the people that did not report this action could also be in trouble for knowing and not reporting. Also, there still might be BON involvement. but not sure

TJC would most likely require a plan of correction, such as a new policy or staff education, but not action against an individual.
