Hey guys:
Does anybody know whether an RN, with an Associate Degree in Science from a public college, who passed the NCLEX but does not have any experience, would be allowed to sit for the CRNE in Ontario, without more schooling?
If no, which provinces would allow such a candidate to sit for the CRNE w/o more schooling?
Thank you kindly.

I believe that all the provinces now require a BSN for RN licensure in Canada.I believe they do make some exceptions for nurses with lots of experience.Basically the only way to really find out is to apply and see what they say. All RN programs in Canada are BSN now.

There are links to the Colleges of Nursing for all provinces here: https://allnurses.com/canadian-nurses/links-provincial-colleges-303171.html Read the sections on registration for internationally-educated nurses. I think it's unlikely that any province will accept an ADN with zero experience for entry to practice. The NCLEX part means absolutely nothing. I don't know that I'd apply for registration and 'see what they say' because there's a LOT of money attached to that route. What I'd do is read the web site information for the various provinces, then call the registrar's offices of the ones that aren't clear-cut and ask them the question. All it'll cost you is some long-distance and some time.
