Anyone out there has applied or is applying to the ACE class beginning Spring 2011? Anyone waiting to hear from admissions for now?

I applied in late may and I got my acceptance letter a couple of days ago! I called Tina Hughes to ask if I needed to send in the pre-reqs I'm in now (A and P 2, lab, and Nutrition) and she said I didn't have to and that she would review my application that very day. That was a week before I got my letter, so I suggest calling and making sure everything is going smoothly with your application and transcripts over there.

Wow Banannas21, congrats! I applied early March and still have heard nothing. I called May 24th and talked to Fran Engelmann and she said they just started reviewing apps for Spring 2011 the week before. She told me I would hear something in a couple weeks. I want to call again to see what's going on with my app, but I don't want to be annoying.

Ber334, thanks :) Yeah, I have a friend who applied in March and she got in at the end of May; she said that she called a few times and finally talked to the adviser (Tina), and then she found out a few days later. They do say it will take 4-6 weeks, so you might be hearing soon, but you could always call again just to check up if you're feeling like you can't wait any longer. It sounds like they might review whoever is on their mind at the moment!

I called and left a message with Fran last Friday just to ensure all my transcripts have arrived, etc. I never heard back from her, so I called the general admissions line yesterday. They confirmed that they had everything and that my app was under review. The anxiety is killing me! I just want to know already!

I called Tina Hughes after reading your post and she emailed me saying that my app was under review and i would hear something in 3-6 weeks which kind of confuses me because I was told by 2 other people at that was app was complete?

Just received my acceptance letter :) I was told 4-6 weeks, but I applied not even 2 weeks ago and found out yesterday I was accepted! It may depend on who you talk to and your grades.. Fran will give Tina the applications she thinks should be seen right away. Tina is very friendly and helpful and I suggest talking with her if you are worried.

The app under review means that all of the things that they need from you are there and that the app itself is complete, but that they are deciding on whether or not to accept you. But no worries! When I went to the orientation in September their Spring 2010 program still wasn't full, so I doubt its full by now for this Spring, so if you've met the GPA requirements I'm sure there's no problem :)

Congrats NfrNurse! It's crazy how some of us have been waiting for months and others a few weeks! I guess I'm a little impatient but I feel like I've been waiting forever! I'm completing chem now and I'll have micro and ethics left for my prereqs and my gpa's above a 3.0. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll hear something.

I feel like they take the most qualified applicants first and then wait to see how many spots they have left. Then they start taking the more average applicants...like me (My GPA is closer to 3.0 than 4.0.)

My application was complete as of the last week of May and I finally found out I was accepted today!!!!

I have not recieved my acceptance letter in the mail as of yet, but I found out on the discover website. I say it will takes approx. 2-3 weeks to hear something from them after your application is complete.

Oh and for those of you who are waiting for a decision and want to get an idea on your chances of getting in, I had a 3.57 gpa for my undergrad and a 3.5 in the recent prereqs I took during the spring semester.

I have 3 prereqs left and I taking them this current summer session (nutrition, A&PII and developmental psy)

I have a 3.64 in Biology and have all my prereqs done. I was really nervous applying so late, esp since they only look at your grades! I went to a few days after applying to talk about the program. Admissions pulled out my application and made a note on it that I came in, and I was told that it increased my odds of getting in. They like people that really show an interest in the program, whether calling or visiting! I could also see that they wrote down my grades from the prereqs, the # of As and Bs in other science classes, and each gpa from semesters you are above 3.0. That's pretty much what they look at for admission I guess. Maybe that helped? Good luck everyone!

I found out yesterday I was accepted for 2011. I only had a 3.3 gpa, but I have almost all my pre-reqs done. Good luck to everyone who applied
