Anyone out there has applied or is applying to the ACE class beginning Spring 2011? Anyone waiting to hear from admissions for now?
I ended up turning down the Drexel program. I think I've really found a home in my little ADN nursing program. I think I'll get more bedside experience and more individual attention here than I will at Drexel which will make me the best nurse I can be in the long run.
Yes, the associates' nursing degree is kind of an anathema right now but between my ADN and the fact that I've already obtained a BA and am willing to move pretty much wherever to work I think I can make it work for myself. With the goal of getting into an ADN->BSN program paid by my future employer, of course! ;D
All of you entering in the spring, best of luck to all of you! :smiley_aa
Hello,
Chiming in a little late here, but I just received my acceptance after being wait listed! I have also been accepted to MCPHS in MA and LIU in NY, and am waiting on Pace in NY and Binghamton in NY. I am going to visit Drexel next week and I'm pretty sure it's my number one choice! I too will be moving from Manhattan. Is Center City the place to look? Thanks!

I got my provisional acceptance in September and start in Spring. I am very happy to have gotten in but I am still trying to figure out my loan. I just paid my matriculation fee. I went to financial aid already so if I can help anyone with information let me know.:)
Congrats KM! I am trying to figure out my loan as well. I wanted to get a head start on that stuff, but askdrexel said not to apply for loans til early to mid February. That seems kinda late to apply though. Did financial aid have any options for lowering the cost?
Hello Everyone,
I’m currently four weeks away from finishing my first semester as Drexel Ace student. The best pieces of advice that I can give you is to stay organize, stay positive and don’t look too far ahead in the semester. A lot of people are stress because they are thinking about all the stuff that we had to do (which is a lot) at one time. I like to take it one week at a time. At the beginning of semester, I put of all the exams, quizzes and checkout dates into my calendar, so I will always know what is coming up but I don’t focus on everything at once. The program is a lot of work and some weeks go by faster than others but if you stay focus, stay caught up on your work, you will be successful. One more thing, do not compare yourself to the other students….not your skills or your grades. All you can do is your best and no you won’t always have the best grades. Some of the other students are feeling down because they feel like everyone is doing so much better than they are. When in reality, their grades might be around the same if not better. I decided to post because I remember how I used to read this site every day until I started the program and I just wanted to give you guys a few words of encouragement. I hope this helps and I wish you all the best!
Now back to the patho book, I go…….
