I'm new to this website and I had a question. Has anyone ever tried the Drexel University NCLEX-RN review courses? If not, what review courses would you recommend? Thanks!

The hospital in which I did my new grad orientation gave this to us free of charge and it was worked into the orientation. I found it to be pretty good and I passed on the first try w/ 75 questions. I also did studying on my own with my own study guide-I think I used Saunder's.

Dexrel had an agreement with my nursing school to use the facilities. The semester before I was to graduate they had an agreement that anyone signing up the semester before graduation could take the course with the graduation class and then again when we graduated. Myself and several others signed up. Sat though the nclex review with Dexrel. I found it to be a general review of course content and not very hard. Certainly their question did not come up to the standard of the real nclex. To top that, the following semester when I graduated not enough other students signed up for it and they refused to honor the agreement and give everyone that had already paid for the review another review or refund the money.
I liked Kaplan better.
Not sure if this is still working or if my computer is acting up but this was a free nclex review website that I found here on allnurses. You have to sign up but it was at least free.

Our school organized the Drexel Review and I thought the materials were to easy and the book is poorly structures. They present material in odd cases, it is not well designed, and contains errors. The online q bank is fine, but too easy. It will not help you structure your critical thinking. It is similar to Saunders - very content based. Good for reviewing info, but not for stimulating critical thinking.

i just passed my boards and i found saunders q & a review for the nclex-rn examination book extremely helpful. i used the cd and it basically simulated the nclex. i did nearly 200 questions a day or so for a week. it allows you to choose questions from areas you want to study, and includes rationale.
you may not see the questions on the test, but it gets you familiar with how the test is structured and if you take time to read the rationales you'll greatly expand your own knowledge base. best $50 ive ever spent. it's not free but it is worth it.
