drexel or kaplan review course?

Hi! I graduate from nursing school in a few weeks! I need to find the best review course to spend my money on and pass NCLEX on the first try. So far I am between Kaplan and 's review course..has anyone taken either or recently? Pleaseee helppp!!

Can't comment on , as I have never even heard of that one! I did the Kaplan course where one attends class! They also offer an online one, which is $100 less BUT they don't offer any type of guarantee, at least thats the way it was in 2009. I think the online one would be just as fine! Didn't find going to class all that useful, as we just covered questions, which I guess is good, and of course went over and over their "decision tree" But the teacher really didnt add much to the experience, and of course their are good/bad kaplan teachers. Mine was ok, very friendly and all, but was it worth the extra $100, hard to say,lol I passed on my first attempt. What I found great about kaplan (which the online course has as well) is the textbook, it was great!! The online question bank (which u can buy on its own) and the videos.

I think its a well put together course, and there were no surprises exam day! the big key to any of these types of courses, is that YOU still have to put in a lot of effort into studying. Its not as if ur going to see the exact same questions in kaplans question bank, as your going to see on NCLEX! All I used to study for NCLEX was the Kaplan stuff and Saunders NCLEX book.

I'm sure if you do a search on here, you will find a lot of info regarding to your question. my 2 cents--I recommend Kaplan.

Thank you for your advice! :)

Yes. Kaplan is good. I used Kaplan review and did fine. I also review my contents using Saunders 4th Edition. I heard about and my friends believe it was not all that...but they passed.

I was just afraid because I heard bad things about kaplan but I guess it may depend on the instructor. Do you recommend online or in class?

Iwould say just do the online, BUT one gets no gaurentee with that! With the in class one, you get the "gaurenetee" but it does cost more. I think they give you your $$ back (you have to return the text book) OR you can do it all lover again!

Hard to say if going to class helped me pass, some of it was useful, and of course the more questions you see, the more you learn! But if you need to save urself $100, i'm sure the online would be just as good.
