Drexel ACE Spring 2020

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I haven’t been able to find a forum for ACE spring 2020 applicants so I figured I would start one.

I applied late March before the April 15 priority deadline. I’m anxiously waiting to hear back and wanted to see if anyone else had heard!

@Hye4 Thanks for sharing and congrats on your acceptance! Where have you decided to attend?

I will be attending NYU. Makes more sense for me since I live in NY and I want to work in NY in the future.

My grades for the prerequisites aren't the greatest but I think my resume and the diversity in my coursework/major/minors helped a lot for me. Good luck to all of you guys ?

Hi does anyone know if they’re still accepting students for spring 2020 cohort?

Yes, I called and they are!

For those who still have prerequisites to complete, did they ask for official or unofficial proof of enrollment/registration? And how did you send that to (email, mail, etc.)?

It's at a school where I didn't previously attend, so I won't be able to send an official transcript until after completion.

Specializes in ABSN student.

I applied with a few prereqs outstanding and they put my application on hold until I submit the final transcripts for my summer courses. I have been taking classes online at penn state and my local community college as a guest/non-degree student.

Hello!

I applied for the Fall cohort but was accepted for the Spring 2020 cohort. I am still unsure if I will be attending but looking to see reviews of the program.

As for my stats, I've working in healthcare and graduated with a GPA of 3.8. Looking to see reviews of the program/living in the city etc.

Hello! I was recently accepted into the Spring 2020 cohort and will be attending. Also looking forward to seeing reviews of the program and living in the city.

Hi! I am finishing one more pre req this fall, but I will be attending Spring 2020. I don’t know if people have started to figure out housing yet, but I could make a Facebook group as well if people are interested. Thanks!

Yes, that would be great! I have been looking to see if someone made one yet.

I made a group on FB for Spring 2020 cohort.

Hey guys,

I recently got a provisional acceptance letter from ACE ABSN.

With that being said, I probably will not be able to meet their conditions so might not be able to go.

I took CHM 101 at Camden County College. It is labeled as "General Chemistry for Allied Health Students such as Nursing".

However, Drexel is saying that I have to have CHM 111. Its literally the same course, and billed as "general chemistry for pre-pharm or chem majors".

Makes no sense. They said I have to finish the class by January 15, which is obviously impossible.

They gave me the option of deferring my admission until Fall 2020. I might have to do that, but I really dont want to lose ANOTHER 6 months.

Any advice?

@SNJ_nurse I was accepted but am in the same situation as you. They're not transferring my Chemistry prereq and there's no way I'll be able to retake it by the January 15th, 2020 deadline. I was provisionally accepted into Nursing ACE BSN on November 1st.

Is deferring admission to Fall 2020 the only option they gave you?

I emailed my advisor and am waiting for her reply.
