  1. Actually, several students have taken bioethics elsewhere (OSU, CSU, etc) and have been allowed credit for this course! Just call Dwayne Newsom (very nice guy) and check with him if your bioethics course will count
  2. Hi there, congratulations on your acceptance! I am currently in the program; please message me for any questions you have and I will try my best to answer as informatively as I can. Hope you are staying well during these trying times.
  3. I had some trouble too, being it's such a small school and there's not much chatter about it online. I called the admissions counselor, Dwane, and he was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions!
  4. Hi there, I think a lot of that depends on which schools you plan to apply to. Nursing programs, unless you are applying fresh out of high school, generally do not look at your high school transcripts at all. They will only look at college courses you've taken. If you retake A+P now, that means you've only repeated it only once (during your college career), not twice. As for retaking the course, there are many schools like community colleges where you can retake this course rather than wait another 5 years. I can tell you that I got an A in A+P in high school, but that didn't do anything for me in applying to nursing programs because they didn't even ask for my high school transcripts. I also repeated A+P in college for a better grade and was accepted into a nursing program. Retake A+P if you can, and forget the high school grade. It will not make a big impact on your application to nursing programs.
  5. Yes, I called and they are!
  6. Congrats on your acceptance!!
  7. Thanks for being so informative! ? I appreciate you taking time to send me such a helpful message. I'm pretty excited to be joining the Ursuline nursing program! On that note, anybody out there still looking for housing/room mates? I'm considering living on campus but would be so glad to have a room mate to live off campus with, since I will be getting a car and don't mind street parking if I can avoid paying parking passes at the residence halls!
  8. Hi everyone, I thought it wouldn't be too early to create a page for prospective students applying to Ursuline's second degree accelerated nursing program. I'll be coming in from out of state, and would love to chat with anyone who is interested or already in the program. Good luck and looking forward to meeting you all!
  9. Wow, thanks so much for all of that info! I'm planning to live on campus, but am also open to off-campus options if the price is agreeable, since I will have to find means of transportation and other bills for food/electricity/water! Would you say Mayfield/Lyndhurst are safe areas to live? As far as clinicals, how far are these locations and which have been your favorite so far? Are there any challenges when it comes to finding/applying for clinicals, or does the school assist you in clinical placement? Thanks for all your help; I can't seem to send PMs at the moment. Looks like I have to contribute a couple more posts before I do that!
  10. Hi there, I'm also very interested in attending Ursuline's Accelerated 2nd degree nursing program. Would you please be able to offer any insight/tips regarding the rigor of the program, how classes are formatted, how faculty assist you throughout your academia, as well as the environment of the school/city? I'll be coming from Maui, so huge difference in terms of relocation. I've never been to Ohio either, so also wondering if the area nearby school has any malls/affordable dining options and if it would be safe to seek off-campus housing. I appreciate any advice you can give me! Thank you in advance ?

  12. Hi, all! Just wondering if someone could clarify this for me: Did you all apply for/is this forum dedicated to the class beginning in the Spring 2020 term? I recently applied and it looks like the only application available indicated it was for the Fall 2020 term. However, the website stated that they will accept applicants for the Spring 2020 term until the class is full. It also mentioned that they start reviewing apps 1 year before the term start date (meaning September for the Fall 2020 cohort)... So I'm a little confused. If my application was directed for the Spring 2020 term, I would've applied earlier to meet the April 15 priority deadline..
