Thanks for the info! I made an account and then when I went to apply it said that the application was closed, do you know why it said that?

Hey, its not closed you have to click on the customer service portal to make an account. It did that to me as well at first

I was accepted in Dec

Hi everyone! I wasn’t able to find a thread for folks applying for 2023, so I was hoping anyone in this thread that was accepted might be able to offer some perspective or insight so I can assess my chances of getting accepted to ’s ACE program. A little about me; I’m currently an Active Duty Army Officer with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. I’m working on finishing my pre-requisite sciences and am on track to get A’s in them, which would bring my pre-req GPA to a 3.75. My undergrad GPA was a 3.57, but was closer to a 3.9 for my last 60 credits. I do have a W on my undergrad transcript but it was earlier in my college career and not during my last 60 credit hours. I’ll also still have Chemistry as an outstanding pre-req when I apply. I’m just wondering if anyone on here might be able to give me an idea of where I might stand as far as changes of getting accepted. Thanks in advance and good luck to anyone else applying!

I think you have excellent chances of getting into the program! My stats were not even great, including a sub-3.0 cumulative GPA, but I applied early and did well in my last 60 credits including my prerequisites and I’m in my last quarter for the program! Drexel fills the seats as applications roll in, so if you plan to apply for Fall, apply as soon as you can!

Thanks so much! That’s super encouraging ? I get so psyched out because it seems as if everywhere is almost impossible to get into with how competitive everything is. I’m doing self-paced courses so I’ll just try to hustle up so I can get my application in ASAP! How are you liking the program? Also do you remember how they contacted you to let you know of the admission decision and how much time it took between submitting your application and finding out the decision? Thanks again!

So far I would say my nursing school experience has been tough, but definitely manageable. The first quarter isn’t too much, but the 2nd and 3rd quarters are content heavy and we pretty much had exams for 5 weeks straight in those quarters. Q2 and Q3 also have 3 clinicals per week, so that was pretty tough to adjust to! Q4 has 2 clinicals per week and lots of busy work, but it less difficult than Q2 and Q3. If you plan on working, it will be difficult during Q2 and Q3 due to the amount of exams and your clinical schedule.

I applied in early September and received my decision in mid-Novemeber and was notified via email that my decision was available. I know some students received their decisions earlier than me, especially if you are a strong candidate. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much! The insight is super helpful and I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to all of my questions and give some insight into your experience with the whole process! I would be using GI Bill benefits and receiving a housing allowance, so I’m not planning on working during the program if I’m admitted so that would hopefully help. But yea I know it’s definitely a super tough program with how fast it is, but kudos to you for making it through and congratulations! Thanks so much again and good luck with the rest of this quarter ?

Since you're in the Ace program do you know if we have clinicals the first quarter? Also how long do we stay at a clinical site before moving to a different one? Thanks so much for the info.

Yeah the first quarter there is 1 clinical which is for fundamentals of nursing. It is every other week. On your week you don’t have clinical, you have lab.

Q2 - 3 clinicals med surg 1, mental health, gerontology. Clinical is every week for 9 weeks.

Q3 - 3 clinicals med surg 2, maternity, pediatrics. Clinical is every week for 9 weeks.

Q4 - 2 clinicals critical care, population health. Clinical is every week for 9 weeks.

For each clinical, it’s typically 7 hours including lunch.

Do we do med surg, mental health, gerontology all at one one hospital or do we have to go to three different hospitals for each specialty. Thanks for the detailed response!

Yes, each clinical will be at different hospitals and the hospitals can be as far as 1-1.5 hours from Philly!
