Drexel ACE Fall 2020

Hello everyone! I've been hoping to connect with others looking to apply to the ACE program for the Fall 2020 term. I'm wondering how many completed pre-reqs others are applying with? Are you applying to any other schools as well?

For those who were accepted or applying: What were yalls resume/CV’s like? I really need help with the format of my resume. I don’t have any hospital experience besides being a volunteer and I’m not CPR certified. So I’m worried that it’ll affect my chances.

Are y’all first aid/cpr certified?

what kinds of things did u have in ur resume?

if anyone wants to dm to help I’d appreciate that so much!

My resume consisted of the most important things to me that I did throughout undergrad. I worked in a hospital for a year, did research for a year, and I included my new job at a dog day camp. I also included leadership roles I have, as well as honor societies I’m in and important awards I’ve received. My CPR certification expired in October so I didn’t include it.

I got accepted a month ago without any related experience, no resume/CV, no CPR certified. Do not worry, I think they lower their standards recently since they may have experienced with recruiting students. Trust your GPA.

Okay good! Thank you so much! My bachelor gpa is a 3.3 and I got all A’s and 1 B (developmental psych) in my pre-reqs.

Stelle, I think your stats are totally fine for a decision. I asked the admission office, they only do not consider AP Microbiology below B. Good luck. Trust me, I think ABSN nursing program especially a private school like Drexel and Jefferson are experiencing shortage of applications. Good luck!!

Hi, I just applied to the Drexel ACE program last week. I just have a few questions if anyone knows the answer to them! When does this program start? May, August or September? and how long did it take for those who were accepted to hear back? Thanks!

I believe there is a Spring start and a Fall start. Spring starts in late March/early April, Fall in late September. My application was complete in Sept. and I heard back in October.

Hi Everyone! I originally applied for the Spring 2020 cohort but was not accepted because I had too many prereqs outstanding. They also would not accept the chemistry course I took. As of last week I finished all my prereqs (including a different chemistry course) and submitted a new application for fall 2020. I'm anxious to receive a decision. My undergrad gpa was ~3.4 and my pre req gpa was ~3.6. I am concerned that I may not be accepted due to my A&P II grade which was a C. I received A's in all other courses. For anyone that was accepted could you share your stats?

I was accepted and I had a C in A&P2! As well as a B in micro, B in A&P1, A- in stats, A in nutrition, A in developmental psych. I also had B’s in chem.

I won’t be attending Drexel, so that opens up one seat at least.
