So I have made a major change in my appearance. I'm a new nurse who got licensed in August 28.Going from layered, shoulder lenght I cut my hair quite short, the back of my hair is totally short and layered,I left the left front side of my hair at a chin lenght my right front side I left at the lenght at whcih I can pull it behind my ear.Sort of like a short bob

I'm quiet happy with my drastic change,I quess my hair deserved conditioning.Hopefully my assymetric hair wont scare of the unit managers when I get a job. I figured that since I'm entering a new profession I might as well enter it with a new haircut...So did you ever made a drastic change in your appearance as a nurse?

I didnt get an official job yet, they still are checking my reference and they told they are giving me 3 days to make my decision.

Ps.BTW I think that the lady great a good job with my hair-exactly how I want it and only for 14 dollars, wow, but I didnt have any money left for coloring since I have been out of job for 6 months

Oh, goodness yes. Since entering nursing school in September, i have had to change a lot. i have a lot of tattoos, so right there means LONG SLEEVES. i am a blue jeans with heels kind of girl- both are no-no's in lab. i usually wear a t-shirt of a band, or a cute girly shirt, but we can only wear shirts with collars in lab, and in clinicals it's white scrub tops with blue pants, and white shoes. WHITE!!! i didn't own anything white, and if it was white when i bought it, it doesn't stay that way. Also, my hair is my outlet: i haven't seen more than a half inch of my natural color in about 12 years, but i'm sure it's either still that horrid ashy blond or gray. Anyway, i usually have at least 2 colors in my hair, one very crayola bright, and another more subdued. Since i began clinicals in September, though, i dyed it a (normal) reddish golden brown, and got the most compliments from it (go figure). The ends are still a darker color than the rest, but SUBDUED is definitely the word. i'm just beginning to feel stilted and not myself as the newness of nursing school is wearing off, and now that clinicals are over for the term, that "napalm orange" left over in my bathroom is looking very tempting....

That does sound cute. I'll bet it looks great! My hair is so thick now from using nulockz that it's great just to have a nice looking ponytail:)

Yeah it does feel great...I dont even use hairdryer or comb anymore LOL. Takes me five minutes to wash my hair and they grow so fast LOL,I think I cut it like two weeks ago and I arleady see the growth,I might not look exactly girlish in this style but it is definitely a change that I needed!!!
