Douglas College Fall 2021

I finished my prereqs during Summer 2018 and just applied for this intake. I wanted to make a thread for those who applied to Douglas' Fall 2021 program!! 

 

Also has anyone else's requirement section of their application been updated yet?

I did speak to an advisor regarding the Winter 2021 intake and I was told that they were sending out offers for students who completed their prerequisites in Winter 2019 or earlier so looks like your chances are good for this intake then ? .. but yeah, maybe I'll contact them eventually if I don't receive an update. I feel like it's a little soon for them to be sending out offers and asking them about decisions LOL

Does anyone know what this means on my application? "initial adm. req. complete?" Does that mean I met the requirements for nursing or the requirements for Douglas college? ?‍♀️

Hi, I’m pretty sure it means both! I did go through past threads to see what people who have applied before have talked about and it looks like it usually always says that if you’ve completed the basic requirements.

I have applied for the fall 2021 intake and just got some questions.

Has the faculty sent out the program orientation info?

Has anybody received any updates for their application?

The faculty will probably send out orientation information after they send out admission offers. As of right now, I don’t have any updates for my application but it has been more than 8 weeks since applications closed so I’m assuming that in a few weeks we should know something! ?

I emailed admissions, and they emailed me back on Nov 16 saying they are still working on the Winter 2021 intake? 

I know they have been really backed up given the situation, but looking at the most recent intakes forum, it seems they got their offers super late, so I guess we all have to be really patient to hear back from them

Wow, I had no idea they were that behind. I was really hoping to hear something by January or February or at least before the next application date.

Yeah, I was hoping we would  hear  back by February now I'm not sure. My application status hasn't even changed yet..

Hopefully by February we'll hear some news. My application hasn't updated either... ?

What do your statuses say? Mine just says initial requirements complete.
