Can some one please help me here. I am a first your prereq. and taking this course online and don't quit understand.Ancef .3g IV is ordered for your patient. Ancef is supplied 500mg reconstitution. How much reconstitution is required to make 250mg/ml
It appears that there is info missing, but my thoughts would be....
You are being give 500mg to reconstitute. If you add that to 1 mL, you would have 500mg/mL . If you added it to 2 mL, you would have 500mg/2mL. Dividing the 2 into the 500 would give you 250mg/ml. Your answer would be 2 mL. The 0.3g IV would be "fluff" (irrelevant).
