Don't want to blow it!!

Published

I passed my boards on 7/22 even though I have extreme test anxiety. It was on a Tues. I broke out in a rash on monday and it did not go away until I found out my results.

Now, I have been stressing over not having a job. I got a call this evening and have an interview tomorrow at 3:00. I am so excited, it is right where I want to be. I am afraid that I will not say the right things or ask the right questions - I am 38 and have not interviewed in 8 years. Is it ok to take a list of questions along?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Absolutely take a list of questions with you and refer to it if needed. It will show that you took time to prepare for the interview. Be sure to ask something about the hospital and the unit in specific. Steer clear of financial and time off inquiries. Go for management style, coworker dynamics, and support available and opportunities for unit/hospital involvement. Wishing you the best of luck.:yeah:

Interview went very well, have 2nd on Monday!!:)

Good luck again. Knock 'em off their feet.

Specializes in ER, ICU, Medsurg.

Woohoo second interviews are a very good thing. Good Luck...knock 'em dead (or at least off their feet, we don't want CPR during an interview)

Thank you Ladies!! I will be interviewing with the Neuro department - not actually what I had applied for but being a new nurse I am open to most anything (except ER). The more I have thought about it Neuro could be so interesting!! I really wish their was a Neuro forum on this site!
