Don't meet requirements to transfer CNA license

There is a list of requirements to transfer your license to Oregon, but I do not meet one of them. I have not worked 400 hours in the past two years, but yet have been certified for about six years now. I was wondering if there was any way I can work under a RN not as a CNA to accumulate hours so that I am eligible to transfer it over. Any insight would be greatly appreciated considering I get the run around every time I call the state board.

It sounds as if you are asking an RN to certify that you worked those hours as a CNA, even if you don't. I don't think any RN would be willing to do this. If I were you, I would just go get myself a job at a LTC facility and work the 50 shifts. If you double up occasionally, you can accumulate the time faster. Shouldn't be too hard to accomplish as most LTC facilities are short of CNA help.

By no means do I want someone to lie for me! I am already in Oregon and do not plan on going back to the state that I am certified in. Is there any way that I can transfer my certification although I don't meet the requirements or do I simply have to redo the clinical hours and exam?

I had to transfer my licence from Illinois to Florida and I was in the same boat as you. I didn't have the hours either. I was short about 20 hours and I had no choice but to move to Florida. It was a family emergency and a cicumstance that was out of my control. I ended up having to challenge the CNA boards in Florida. So... I paid florida to take my skills and written test again. I didn't have time to get those hours. If I were you I would just challange the test again. I passed it the first time, I am sure that if you have enough experience that you will be able to do the same.
