Dominican University California Spring 2023 BSN

Hi, is anyone applying to the Spring 2023 cohort for DU California? I haven't submitted my application yet. Still waiting on my letter of recommendation. I heard there was no TEAS requirement (yay!). I still need to take the Chemistry requirement, other than that, I'm good to go. Deadline is September 1st.

I did get an update. I got into the priority waitlist. Hoping a spot clears up! What about you? You are the first person I have heard from apply to fall 2023.

I also got into the priority waitlist and am hoping for the best. I hope we both get in LOL! Do you think a lot of people got priority waitlisted ?

I hope that not everyone did! Cuz then our chances go down a lot. ? I hope we both get in!! The deposit deadline is June 1st for people who got in, so once people don't pay or choose not to attend here, spots will open up. What do you identify as? I am a female, pronouns she/her.

I identify as the same as you. I am wondering how they choose off the priority list. Do you happen to know? I can't wait to hear so I can stop waiting to see if I get in or not.

I do not know how they pick people off the waitlist. The anxiety we are living in right now. ? Once we get in we should exchange socials if your down. I will be transferring from cal state east bay. What about you if u feel comfortable sharing.

Yes yes of course I will keep you updated on when I hear anything. I am transferring from a cc in Marin. Hoping for the best!

Hello! IDK if you will be checking this but I thought I should try and reach out since I am in the same boat as you. I am waitlisted so I wanted to know how long did it take for you to get accepted? And if you know of others who got in that where waitlisted as well in your cohort?

I just found out that the waitlist is very small and once spots open up the nursing administration does a lottery system, to choose people from the waitlist. But I am hopeful, since the list is very small.

Oh wow seems fair I hope we both get in still! Where did you find this out of you don't mind me asking? Also how small are you thinking? I am glad to have found someone in the same boat as me!

I saw this on another all nurses Dominican cycle post. I will probably email, Rudy Torres the person who signed out status update about getting on the waitlist. My advisor has answered some questions but it's not super clear. I want to know how many people they accepted this cycle, and the exact number of people on the waitlist so stuff like that. My friend got in here but she doesn't wanna go to here anymore due to financial reasons, so I know her spot will be opening up. It sucks that we have to wait so long. I'm glad that we can talk on here and I hope we both get in.

Oh okay please let me know if you get any of your questions answered. Will you be going if accepted? I know a lot of people turn it down because of how expensive it is but I am committed to going if given the chance. I know someone who attended Dominican and is now an ICU nurse they're my friend they've given me a lot of insight. Hopefully more spots open up and if you end up finding out how many people are on the waitlist please let me know glad I have someone to talk to about this that can relate.
