Does your ob unit provide you with scrubs?

Last year my dept took away our hospital provided scrubs in an effort to save money.

I am on a mission to get them back and I was wondering if anywhere else does this.

thanks

I work on a unit where we do our own c/s. We have to wear our own scubs but can't wear them to work. You are required to change into them at work if you are a l&D RN. If you wear them in, then you have to change into surgical scrubs for the c/s (and stand the chance of a crash c/s and your coworkers being really ticked off that they have to take over). If we have to do a c/s in the main OR down stairs then you have to change into surgical scrubs even though we do not circulate when we get down there:uhoh21:. We were also quoted the "save money" theory.

They should get you the disposable jumpsuits to put on for emergencies. What does the S/O wear to a section?

The hospital where I work provides scrubs for the OB nurses. I'm gonna be working there one night a week starting tomorrow night....I'm an ICU RN by trade.

In L&D, we have hospital-supplied scrubs - but can wear our own if we want.
