Greetings APRNs and aspiring APRNs. I would love to hear your thoughts on how much it matters where someone gets their degree.
Should I go to a school with a known name and big reputation? How much does Alma Mater Matter? I am going to be taking classes online and working at least part time, likely full time, while I am in school.
I am considering Frontier because they seem to have a good reputation and have rolling admissions. I would like to get started sooner rather than later. Where else would you recommend? I am not looking at a for-profit degree mills as an option.
However, if I have the qualifications, should I hold out for somewhere like Ohio State, Rush, or Drexel?
I am guaranteed a job with the VA when I graduate because I am utilizing their program to get my advanced degree. I will owe them at least three years, so when I finish I will have three years of PMHNP experience under my belt.
Please share your thoughts and opinions, and what you would like to share of your own personal career trajectory. Thanks so much for your time. ☺️

If you are guaranteed a job....it doesn't matter. Once you have experience where you went won't matter...but it does matter sometimes with getting that first job. Good luck!
