Kaiser primarily hires LVNs into their outpatient clinics these days. They used to hire LVNs into their hospital med/surg units and operating rooms as recently as 7 years ago, but I do not know if they still do this. Good luck to you.

do we only apply online? or is it best to apply in person? sorry for asking these silly questions.

i'm a new grad (grad of 2010) and i still haven't found a job. i was in school taking prerequisites and taking care of my family.

but now i need a job since all the lvn to rn programs need us to have experience.

thanks!!!

when i go on kaiser website, i see lvn job openings, however they require 1 year minimum experience.

is there any hope for us new grads?

They regularly post for those jobs as part of their hiring process, so it must be posted to the public, however, it stipulates the minimum 1 year of experience as they are mostly filled by their internals. A catch-22, you're a new grad but no experience, whereas they have current employees wanting to move up.

You can certainly try to apply, doesn't hurt. It's one of the primary hospitals that a lot of the LVN students go after while taking their classes, some even get a volunteer job to get "inside". It's just as competitive as some get hired also thru connections. But if their pool of internals doesn't meet their current needs, they then look for externals.

My RN friend works at another Kaiser up north, same thing.
