Hello, I am currently finishing up my last year of prerequisites to apply for nursing programs early next year. I have noticed that I am only about 5 classes away from graduating with a double major. My first major in in Liberal Arts: Biological and Physical Sciences, and I am considering doing the 5 class away major of Human Services. I am not sure if I can benefit more having that extra degree or if it is a waste of my time and to focus more on the sciences needed to graduate. I am attending a community college and the degrees are associates. I am applying to my college's ADN program. Thank you! :)
You might get personal satisfaction from the degree and you might feel that the knowledge gained enhances your nursing practice, but it won't benefit you professionally as a nurse.
