Does HESI shut off automatically?

Does the hesi submit automatically even if you still have time left?

Thanks, Kymberlee

If you're asking if it shuts off like the NCLEX after (I believe) it's a 95%+ then no.

I took the HESI today and did the math, grammar, reading comprehension, and vocab and each section was 55 questions.

The one thing I didn't like is that once you submit your answer you can not go back or review your answers before submitting the entire test. Once you pass that question thats it.

Oh okay. How did it go? I take mine either june or july the same sections as you tested on but a&p is an added section.

No, it doesn't shut down automatically. I had four hours to do the test and that is an overall time period. In other words, I was able to choose in what order I took the various sections and I could take as long as I wanted within the four hours. I could have taken three hours on the math and then have an hour to finish the other sections. It took me 1 hour and 44 minutes to complete the test and I would say the majority of that was meticulously working out math problems, even easy ones. (I was scared of making stupid mistakes as I'm apt to do when it comes to math.) Good luck to you when you take it. It was not as hard as I thought it would be.

I plan to do the math section first, Today I learned that the time is according to # of questions the section has. How did you do? & thanks , hope you did great on your exam! :)

I did the math first, too and then A&P. Every section I took had 55 questions except A&P which had 30. There was no specific time alloted for any of the sections that I could see. That is, I saw no difference in the timer countdown from the 30 question section to the 55 question sections. At the beginning of the first section I chose, the timer started a backwards count from 4 hrs down, continuing through all the sections as if they were one. Perhaps it's different at different schools? I did very well, thank goodness. But again, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Keep us posted on how it goes for you and good luck...
