Out of curiosity, do they have a nursing level comparative to the the US FNP? If so, what sort of settings do they work in? What is the pay like?

Nurse Practitioner is a new thing here and is only just getting off the ground so - no, no equivalent to FNP as yet - as far as I know.
Thank for your reply. I was hoping FNPs were utilized down under in case the opportunity arose to move/work there one day. Any idea on the plans of bringing NPs into the workforce?
Yes - there are programs for NPs like at present there is a new position for Heart Failure Management nurses. But don't forget that our health system is very different from yours and may not allow for the number of NP's that America supports.
