many state boards publish the pass rates for first time and repeat testers, as mandated by the state's laws. If you do not know the address for your state's website you can go to http://www.ncsbn.com.

I've heard the number 85% on average pass the first time more than once on these boards.
But it also depends upon your school as some are more successful than others.
In three years, '91, '92, '93, my program graduated 80 plus students a year and had 1 failure over three years. (my year, '93, not me!). That's a 99% plus pass rate. So my odds were pretty good.

those are pretty good odds
As far as my schools success rates, i dont know
but i do know that when we graduate, places will hire us before any other nursing schools, so the odds must be good

I just finished reading the New Mexico newsletter.. 98% of the LPN's passed their boards whereas a little over 85% passed the RN boards.. How about that!

Is the website supposed to be http://www.ncbsn.ORG ??? I tried .com and it didn't work, but .org works.
