I took my mom to a proctologist because part of her rectum came out after she has bowel movements and there was bleeding. The doctor asked her to push in the bathroom at the office so she can see, but my mom was unable to. She asked to take a picture to make sure she can diagnose it as rectal prolapse. If so, she needs surgery. The doctor saw that we didn't have insurance so she mentioned charity care. She said she wouldn't get paid at all, in which, I felt terrible, but there was no choice since we cannot afford it ourselves. We went to the hospital to apply, but the lady said she needs to 100% okay that we are getting the surgery to apply. My mom and I are going back to let the doctor know and bring in the pictures. Does anyone know about the surgery. Like what the process is, how long she needs to stay in the hospital, post-op, etc. also, anything on charity care? Thank you.
