Tell me where "Reputibale" is and someone may be able to help you....

If you are seeking a quality school, go to your state's board of nursing website and see what schools are recommended by them. You could also look at the NCLEX RN pass rate to give you an idea how many students are passing after they graduate.

Let me understand. You are getting your bachelors in psych and want to go into nursig. You have had no nursing classes and you want to do all your nursing classes on line but would not mind doing your practicals and clinicals at a facility. Is that correct?

If that is so, then search for an accredited distant learning ADN or BSN program that offers on line didactic (lectures) with practical/clinicals at a facility. If the schools you find are recommended by your state BON, then you have to determine which schools fit your parameters and do your due diligence.

* I believe she was stating she is an LPN already- so she would have had the nursing classes. =) I am a new LPN grad, but I have an almost complete double major in Psych and Criminal Justice, I have transferred to 6 different colleges ( long story) but the only ones that offered an exclusiverly online program was Indiana state university ( but that was when I was looking for an online LPN to BSN program). I live in Virginia , but we have alot of in class LPN to RN transition programs =) I would follow the advice of Lady in Scrugs to see an online ADN or BSN program- It is much easier to do an LPN to an RN program in person- and then advance it from an RN to A BSN online- just in my opinion =) Good Luck!:nurse:

I honestly don't see why you wanna go back, but who cares? Anyway, Miami-Dade College is where I go and they are excellent there. You can do your program online except for clinical, they have a high passing rate but the course is intense since a full year with vacations and holidays included.

Since you're about to have a degree in Psy you can do the accelerated or the bridge, since you'll qualify for both and better yet you'll most likely get all the pre-reqs so you're good to go. They give financial aid and loans, if that's what you want to do that's an excellent school if you already live or willing to move to Miami, Fl

Good catch -- and it was right before my nose. From what I have heard, there are many good online programs that have clinicals. Looks as if the secret is getting out--that offering DL classes is less expensive for the university and they can charge higher tuition. I would have gone to a bridge class, but online was the only program that fit my needs. Fortunately, I, too, have a previous bachelors.

FinallyKym, you are so right. It is easier to do a brick and mortor program vs. a distant learning program. It seems as if they go over backwards to make the student to extra work--but you can't do the didactic program in the middle of the night in your PJs.
