Hello, I just moved to NYC about a year ago, and am currently a stay at home mom but I'm looking for on the job training since financial aid does not cover the course and I cannot afford it and I have tried for several loans but my credit is horrible. I need help I've been trying for months to get this training done but no luck. Ugh it's frustrating cause I have no one to help and guide me with this situation. Helppp. Please.

Have you tried the unemplyment office. Is there a "NYWorks" ageny?
In MI and in CT if you register with MIWorks or CTWorks (the unemployment agency) you can take a test which will then place you in training for CNA or a few other choices. The state has grant $$ that pays for your training, uniform and required equipment for the class.
Go to the unemployment agency and ask questions.
I'm going to try to call tomorrow I google ny works and it's giving me an address and number. Thanks I'm going to try that as well as the workforce but I was told for workforce you have to have public assistance. Thanks again.
