Does anyone know if Brandywine School of Nursing in Chester co. is difficult to get accapted to? I have already applied to Cat Brandywine's LPN program and took their NET. I scored good on it. But, now I want to just go for my RN at Brandywine School of Nursing. I do not want to bypass a possible acceptance to CAT Brandywine for LPN, and then not get accepted to Brandywine School of Nursing either. Is Brandywine School of Nursing hard to get into?

I have no idea about this particular school, but I would venture to say that any nursing school is going to be difficult to get into. And, if the requirements for acceptance aren't as stringent as you'd normally find, you can bet that their waiting list is miles long. Good luck.

I am taking my pre-nursing classes at DCCC, applying to their program as well as Brandywine's. A girl in my English class over the summer started this Fall at Brandywine. She said that she took the NET, it was so easy (granted she just graduated from high school in June so all of that stuff was fresh in her head), but she applied in February and got accepted. The class was half full at that point she said. They have a rolling admission period as opposed to DCCC's set timeframe. I think the positive thing about Brandywine is they look at a variety of factors, not just your NET scores like DCCC does. I guess in the end I don't have an exact answer for you. I know that with Brandywine, if you're accepted, you pay a fee ($150) to hold your spot. Does CAT have that as well? You could secure your spot, see if you get accepted into Brandywine and if you do, then you're just out that fee. Just a suggestion, good luck to you.

no, it is not hard to get into. It is much more expensive than DCCC, so it does not fill up as quickly. I got in with no problem (decided to go somewhere else though). A friend of mine who has been a mediocre student got in also.
Thanks :)
If you don't mind me asking, where did you decide to go?

The Brandywine program is going to become a 4 year BSN program in the very near future. You will have to check out http://www.immaculata.edu under "news releases" for details.
I moved 3 hours away to Northeast PA - I was accepted to a 4 year school that had campus housing for me and my kids - it was nothing bad with Brandywine, my school just had a better living situation.
