Does anyone know anything about the online nursing schools?

Was just curious to know if taking an online:typing nursing program would be benificial to me. My friend just did one online and already is an R.N.:yeah: Could someone please explain how these type of programs online work. Thanks

I understand that the majority of the programs are for RN completion or higher. Some colleges offer courses online such as Nursing Fundamentals, but you still need to get your clinical experience. I took a few courses online, but I'm in the associate degree program so there aren't any full online programs available here in WI. Hope this helps a bit.

Here in TN we have an online AASN program through Tennessee Board of Regents, which works with community colleges, Tennessee Tech Centers, and State Universities. Then one of the state universities offers a RN-BSN degree and several offer MSN degrees. So I will be doing it all online. I'm getting my CNA online this summer through Tennessee Tech. Then I'll do the AASN program through the community college. Then I'll do the RN-BSN program through ETSU. I'm not sure where I'll do my masters because I'm still undecided on that one.

I didn't know about the program until I was just surfing the internet and one link lead to another and there it was right in front me. I checked out every college website in this part of the state.
