I was curious for anatomy and physiology did anyone find cliff notes helpful. Also does anyone have any study tips, I literally read all day on the days i dont have class and barely have time for other assignments. Any suggestions/help?

For anatomy, I used The anatomy and physiology Learning system book. (real easy). I also went to the lab, and looked at each part or system being studied. I would tape the names of each part onto the part. Sometimes I used flash cards to see if I could locate the part.
For physiology, I used interactive anatomy and physiology cd. I could see how each system actually worked. It was fun. The cd makes everything interactive.
I found that a strong physiology background helped me a lot in the nursing program, so take the extra time to learn it extremely well.

I love this book : Barron's E-Z anatomy and physiology book (study aid)
Isbn: 978-0-7641-4468-4
(I hated Barron's chemistry book)
Good luck!

What helped me was recording lectures and replaying them multiple times as you are driving or at the gym. I also looked up videos on you tube for different animations or explanations. For the practicals, I took pictures with my Ipad and downloaded an APP that allowed you to label parts or email it to yourself to do on your laptop or pc. That was VERY helpful for me. There are also a few A & P apps out there that are useful and good to practice with. Good luck!!
BTW, I got a high B in the class with these techniques - Science is not easy for me and I was able to use these to help me!!

Speed Anatomy was my favorite app. I liked the Netters coloring book, I had flash cards. I also found teaching someone else the material helpful, as well as concept mapping.

For me, reading does not do jack squat except take up valuable time. I am 1/2 way through nursing school and I can honestly say I have not read from my textbooks. It has been proven that reading has the second to lowest retention rates

If you are not incorporating other types of learning, you might be wasting your time. Now, that being said, there is a girl in my class who can read and remember everything, so you might be different. Google "active" learning and maybe change up your routine a bit. While I don't read my textbooks, I do other things for retention, outlines, written summaries, teaching subjects to my study group etc.
