Does my active duty time count?

I'm looking into VA hospital jobs and I'm curious if my 5 yrs on active duty count for anything?

Specializes in EMT, ER, Homehealth, OR.

I enjoyed my time at the VA, like anywhere it has its pros and cons. Each facility is different just like any civilian facility. One big issue is the large amount of red tape. No call offs is nice.
