I've reported hostile providers before to management and directors. 2 have had to apologise to me. They all have their excuses as to why they threw a tantrum.

I don't care what letters you have in front of your name. Are you a grown adult? So am I. Show some respect and I'll do the same.

Just a tip: our facility uses an online due date calculator. Everyone is required to use the same one, which helps prevent variation among users/wheels.

I only lasted 2 months at a clinic when the doctor belittled us nurses. He also got very sexually inappropriate. Sicko.

Yikes!! If the sexual thing was happening.. I would have been outta here long ago. What is WRONG with people?!

I had to laugh. Other nurse and I were talking about this incident. She said dealing with a male physician/boss is "like having a husband, " that you yell and move on. I told her I already have a husband, he's a pain in the butt (lol) and I don't need another!

My husband has never yelled at me or belittled me/spoke down at me. I wouldn't accept that behavior from him, and I wouldn't accept it from my boss.

Let me remind you what you said in the OP:

Started yelling... threw paperwork... got in my face...

Your clinic is very dysfunctional if staff are shrugging their shoulders and accepting this behavior as "Well, that's just how it is, you accept it and everyone moves on."

My coworker...other nurse... called it a 3 ring circus as we were staying late ... again... making phone calls. Yup. All of this is soon to be behind me... it is even sweeter because I just got an excellent lead on a case management position.... making triple what I make now... Ok maybe just double if you factor in driving.

I think my coworkers are just used it it. Other nurse has worked in physician offices for 40 years... one nasty tempered surgeon and several ob docs. I explained to her I am NOT used to it. Job on pedi floor... residents mostly around on evening shift. Allergy clinic doc was a soft spoken late 50s man... treated and paid us well.... and then THIS!
