Doctor's Orders

Anyone else spending significant amounts of time trying to get doctors to clarify their orders? I can't understand why they wouldn't include the most basic components of a medication order such as FREQUENCY, DOSE, ROUTE. Basic stuff! Ugh...just complaining...

Do you have parents initial that they understand or is this something that you send to the doctor when requesting order clarification?

it's initialing for understanding. I will usually just call if I have questions and/or fax the order back with a note to clarify.
