Doctor's office Nursing Opportunities

I would like to search for an RN position at a doctor's office or clinic. How do I go about finding a job like that. I've looked in the papers and I see no job positions for doctor's offices, but, mainly hospitals and nursing homes. I live in Missouri. Thank you.

I've never seen an RN working with a doctor unless that RN was an advanced practice nurse, such as a nurse practitioner.

In the office that I am leaving we have medical assistants working with the doctors and nurses doing phone triage. I am the only LPN in the dept, the others are RN's.

Hello, I'm a new graduate, I am currently working for a nursing home for about two months now. It's a miracle how i got in since its the only one that called me back out of about 10 places i've applied to. So they hire me as a per diem which is good too since im trying to get my experience under my belt.

I give props to all the nurses who work/ed in nursing homes, the stress level is incredible. I have been thinking of applying to clinics or doctor's offices too. But since I'm new to this field, im not sure how to go about with it. When I applied around in nursing homes, I would call them and ask if they were hiring, they would usually say no, but when i went there personally they would say yes they were. So I was wondering if i should just drop by, introduce myself and say im looking for a job there and leave my resume. Or just call first because i know how doctor's offices can be busy at times. Same goes for clinics, I'm thinking of just going around dropping applications and resumes.
