Are you talking about the NCLEX-RN Gold 3000 from Meds Publishing?
I can't honestly say how much, if at all, any of those review CD ROMS or review books helped me pass boards.
But we both are talking about the same program, I'll say this about it:
I used the LPN version of it in 1997 and felt that it was pretty much on target with the actual board exam questions as far as content went. I passed the LPN boards at the minimum 85 questions.
I used the RN version later because I liked it more than the other programs when I was taking LPN boards and passed the RN boards at the minimum 75 questions.
I felt that the RN version was also right on target with actual board exam content/questions in addition to being very easy to use.
I would recommend it to others studying for boards, plus at the time, I don't know if they still do it, they guaranteed your money back if you went through all of the exams on the disc and still didn't pass boards.
Plus, you need to be cautious when getting advice from others about these things. Someone who failed the board exam may very well blame it all on having bad review CD's or books when that might not be the problem.
Like I stated earlier, I can't say for sure whether or not that software actually helped me pass NCLEX or not but I still thought it was good.

Amy,
Some of my friends used the nclex 3000 (springhouse) with the combination of kaplan, lippincott, mosby and saunders and passed.

I totally agree with the above post. I used NCLEX3000 and really liked it. I learned lots from it. I think which CD/book you use it personal opinion. Good luck and if you have it use it. Take those practice NCLEX tests because it will break down all your strengths and weakneses. I thought this was helpful to tell me where to focus on.
